I enjoy communication, in particular, facilitating the shift from unhealthy to healthy communication. I can listen and I can facilitate change. I am passionate about supporting people through their journey of wellbeing as it unfolds.
I began my career in mental health in 1994, initially working in large psychiatric hospitals. I have since worked in a variety of mental health settings including Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acute Inpatient Ward, Community, and Mobile Crisis work. Recently I’ve added working with Addiction and Co-Existing problems to my skill set, along with Group Facilitation work. I am focused, grounded and upfront, yet can balance this with empathy and hope. My life experiences have given me non-judgemental take on life. I laugh a lot, I am comfortable asking difficult questions and have a solid work ethic. I work using a person-centred and strengths-based approach and am highly accountable for my practice. In addition to my mental health and addiction work, I also work within the field of dispute resolution.
