HOW I CAN HELP

Clinical Supervision

Picture
I am an DAPAANZ Accredited Supervisor and offer Clinical and Professional Supervision to all DAPAANZ members either face to face or via Zoom.

There are numerous definitions of supervision.  Put simply, supervision is a safe space for a practitioner to review and reflect on their work in order to grow/develop in their work.  Borrowing from Brigid Proctor’s Model the three functions of supervision are:
  1. the Formative/Education Function (education and developing skills),
  2. Restorative/Supportive Function (maintaining harmonious working relationships, managing work-related stress), and
  3. Normative/Managerial Function (quality assurance, ethical practice, and accountability). I am able to use a range of supervision models to help you make the most of your supervision time.

All Registered members of DAPAANZ are required to have four-weekly supervision.  Interested in reading more? Try Aronui: the supervision guide for addiction practitioners, supervisors and managers

If you are currently looking for a supervisor, finding someone that ‘ticks all the boxes’ can be tricky.  Please call me to discuss your needs.
